The maximization of return on investment (ROI) on a company's human capital along with minimization of financial risk is the prime objective of the human resources function. Human resource managers are responsible for conducting their activities in a legal, effective and fair manner within the company's environment. 1. Recruitment and hiring process
2. Firing and problems at work
3. Performance evaluation

6. Keeping records of all personnel data
7. Compensation, bonuses and pensions in conjunction with payroll function
